Although its true identity remains unknown, the remarkable quality of its fruit quickly earned it recognition among enthusiasts, and it has become one of the farm's most sought-after introductions. This common (self-fertile) variety is vigorous, highly productive, and produces both breba and main crops under favorable conditions.
The large, teardrop-shaped fruit ripens from yellow-green to light bronze skin, revealing a thick, richly colored interior that ranges from deep pink to purple-red depending on growing conditions. As the fruit softens, the pulp becomes dense, glossy, and intensely jammy. The flavor lives up to its name, offering pronounced notes of ripe blackberry and blueberry layered over rich fig sweetness. When allowed to hang until the skin begins to wrinkle, the flesh becomes remarkably concentrated, developing an almost fruit leather-like texture with exceptional depth and intensity.
